The boundary of the industry for accompanying physicians to transform into "scalpers" urgently needs to be clarified

Beijing resident Wang Xin is facing registration difficulties due to his daughter's illness. In a hurry, he posted a request for help on a social media platform. Soon, a "companion doctor" sent him a private message saying "I can help with registration" and "registration service fee is 500 yuan.". Wang Xin raised a series of questions: "Why can't we register? Is it related to these so-called 'accompanying doctors' seizing the number source? What is the difference between accompanying doctors providing registration services and the nature of' scalpers'?" A recent investigation by reporters found that accompanying doctors, originally created to meet the companionship needs of certain groups of people when seeking medical treatment in hospitals, are quietly changing their taste - some accompanying doctors are using the name of accompanying doctors to market and resell the doctor's number source, disrupting medical order. On May 6th, the Legal Daily reported that "there has been a surge in demand," "easy income of over ten thousand," and "90s generation joining the army of accompanying physicians." In recent years, the new profession of accompanying physicians has continued to be popular. Not only have the inspirational stories of some accompanying physicians successfully starting businesses attracted many imitators, but more and more consumers are also purchasing services. The phenomenon of accompanying doctors transforming into "number dealers" has poured a bucket of cold water into the booming accompanying industry, making people suddenly realize that the industry is also a mix of good and bad, with hidden risks. In fact, the current accompanying medical services are still in the stage of market self exploration, and this situation is not surprising. Companions and drug dealers have no behavioral boundaries and are prone to rapid identity exchange. For example, having acquaintances in a hospital is a resource, and if this resource is used to improve the level of accompanying medical services, both the supply and demand sides are happy to see it happen. Even obtaining number sources through account trading can significantly enhance the competitiveness of accompanying physicians. "Number vendors" can infiltrate the team of accompanying physicians, not only making money through accompanying services, but also secretly engaging in the activities of number vendors, making it difficult to distinguish whether they are accompanying physicians or "number vendors". It is equally easy for accompanying physicians to transform into medical daycare providers, drug dealers, and so on. It is entirely possible for "medical daycare" to lure patients to small clinics to commit fraud by using the opportunity of accompanying consultations. At present, the benefits of medical insurance are getting better and better, and the illegal profits from reselling drugs listed in the medical insurance catalog are increasing. Drug traffickers providing accompanying medical services not only provide an additional way to make money, but also make drug trafficking more convenient. If there is no entry threshold for accompanying physicians and there is a lack of process supervision, it is not ruled out that health product salespeople and medical fraudsters will also be involved in the future. The development of the accompanying medical service industry first requires letting go of market independent innovation, and cannot be regulated too early or too rigidly. But letting go of innovation is not letting it go. When the market reaches a certain level of self exploration, industry norms and regulatory rules should be timely introduced. Include accompanying physicians in the statutory occupational directory, and then establish detailed rules and improve management, including how to determine service prices, evaluate and supervise quality, define the boundaries of rights and responsibilities between both parties, and mediate and resolve disputes. Only in this way can we delineate the boundaries of the industry and guide the accompanying medical service industry to enter the right track of development. At present, various convenient measures in the medical field are constantly being launched, optimizing the medical process, improving the medical experience, building elderly friendly hospitals, exploring service models for medical caregivers and medical social workers, and promoting more standardized systems for home-based elderly care and family doctor services, all of which have produced good results. Nevertheless, accompanying medical services
