Recently, Changsha City, Hunan Province held the launch ceremony of "Protecting Enterprise Intellectual Property and Escorting High Quality Development of Enterprises". On site, 78 high-tech enterprises were authorized to establish "intellectual property protection workstations stationed in enterprises". As of now, there are 185 high-tech enterprises and Malanshan (Changsha) Video Cultural and Creative Industry Park in Changsha City with "Intellectual Property Protection Workstation in Enterprises". The establishment of the "Intellectual Property Protection Workstation in Enterprises" is an innovative measure jointly taken by the Changsha Public Security Bureau and the Changsha Intellectual Property Bureau to protect intellectual property. It comprehensively integrates resources such as legal consultation, comprehensive services, and criminal crackdown, providing comprehensive protection for the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises. There are currently over 7800 high-tech enterprises in Changsha, and protecting intellectual property rights and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of these enterprises has become an important task for the public security in Changsha. It is reported that in 2023, the public security organs in the city cracked a total of 110 criminal cases in the field of intellectual property, an increase of 27.91% year-on-year. Among them, there were 2 cases of departmental supervision and 6 cases of provincial supervision, and 409 people were transferred for prosecution. The Changsha Public Security Bureau has established a three-level linkage work mechanism among the municipal bureau, sub bureau, and police station, equipped with 316 police officers to connect with the innovative development needs of enterprises, conduct regular discussions and on-site services for enterprises listed in the park, collect enterprise needs in a timely manner, "pulse and diagnose" difficult and complex problems of enterprise intellectual property rights, and focus on solving problems such as weak awareness and incomplete mechanisms of enterprise intellectual property protection. The relevant person in charge of the Changsha Public Security Bureau stated that when the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises are violated, they can call the reporting and complaint hotline or report on the "My Changsha" app. The public security organs will establish a mechanism for quick acceptance, filing, investigation, and judgment of clues related to intellectual property infringement crimes, focusing on key illegal behaviors such as infringement of enterprise trademark rights, trade secrets, and counterfeit patents. They will publicly expose and actively declare war on various illegal crimes related to intellectual property infringement, effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of business entities and the public.
