On May 30, 2023, the Shenzhou-16 manned spacecraft was successfully launched. Astronauts Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu, and Gui Haichao successfully entered the Tianhe core module and stayed in orbit for 5 months. They conducted one extravehicular activity and one space lecture, conducted a series of space science experiments and applied payloads in orbit (trial), completed platform management and care under the "three cabins and three ships" configuration of the space station, and safely returned on October 31, 2023. The Shenzhou 16 manned mission is the first manned mission after the space station has been fully completed and the manned space project has entered a new stage of application and development. For the first time, three types of astronauts, including space pilots, space flight engineers and payload experts, have jointly carried out the mission. It marks a new step for China's space industry to take in high-level science and technology and self-reliance, accelerate the construction of a space power to achieve new breakthroughs, which is of great significance to enhance China's comprehensive national strength and enhance the cohesion of the Chinese nation, encourage the whole party, the whole army and the people of all ethnic groups to work together, and strive to write a new chapter of Chinese path to modernization. The complete success of the Shenzhou 16 manned flight mission embodies the wisdom and hard work of numerous scientific and technological workers, astronauts, cadres and staff, as well as PLA commanders and fighters.
