Green vegetable beds, tall soapberry trees, and smooth stone well railings... In the spring light, in the hometown of Lu Xun in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, Lu Xun's Baicaoyuan welcomes the "spring scenery" of the garden. Adults and children follow the childhood footsteps of the "master" and feel the unique spring of Baicaoyuan. In 1926, at the age of 46, Lu Xun recalled the wonderful childhood life in "From Baicaoyuan to Sanwei Bookstore". This essay has already been written into Chinese language textbooks and has become a must read article for Chinese people. Nowadays, the Hundred Grasslands depicted by Lu Xun are still beautiful and lush, with many people following the "textbook" for spring outings. Recently, as I walked into the Baicaoyuan, the first thing that caught my eye was the golden rapeseed flowers, which looked taller than humans at first glance; Next to it is a relatively low but very lush mustard, a scene full of greenery and vitality. "Rapeseed flowers and mustard refer to the 'green vegetable beds' in spring," said Chen Jialan, a tour guide for Lu Xun's hometown in an interview. Reviewing the text, Lu Xun wrote: "Not to mention the verdant vegetable beds, smooth stone well railings, tall soapberry trees, and purple mulberries; not to mention cicadas chirping in the leaves, fat wasps lying on the cauliflower, and agile skylarks suddenly darting straight into the sky from the grass. Just the short mud wall roots around them are infinitely interesting..." Now, in a garden of over 1000 square meters, corresponding physical objects can be found such as stone well railings, soapberry trees, and mud wall roots. This Hundred Grasslands brought infinite joy to Lu Xun's childhood and also left profound memories for contemporary youth. "I saw a fat wasp lying on cauliflower!" said Yan Kerou excitedly during an interview, who was in her first year of junior high school. Watching rapeseed flowers up close, little bees are picking honey on the flowers, while black and white butterflies dance gracefully around the flower field, resembling a dynamic and static animation. Although Yan Kerou from Jinhua is walking into the Baicaoyuan for the first time, she is very familiar with the scene here. "This is the text she just learned last semester, and she has memorized everything. Every sentence in the text seems to have a shadow, which feels particularly wonderful.". Baicaoyuan was originally a desolate vegetable garden shared by the Zhou family. Lu Xun once recalled, "There is a large garden behind my house, which is said to be called Baicaoyuan... It seems that there were only some wild grass in it, but it was my paradise at that time." Now, seeing the spring scenery of Baicaoyuan and experiencing Lu Xun's childhood has become a popular "gameplay". Chen Jialan stated that recently, Lu Xun's hometown has received a series of student spring outings, including teachers and students from schools in the surrounding areas of Shaoxing such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Jiaxing, and Jinhua. This trip is truly a personal experience of a Shanghai junior high school teacher who led a team on a spring outing to Shaoxing. During an interview, he mentioned that "Baicaoyuan is Mr. Lu Xun's childhood memory and also carries the memories of each of us during our 'student days'. In spring, when a hundred flowers bloom, Baicaoyuan may seem like a vegetable garden, but it hides infinite childlike innocence and is a symbol of beauty." According to the relevant person in charge, Baicaoyuan plants different seasonal vegetables at different times, including corn, eggplant, pumpkin, edamame, etc., and is managed by a dedicated person, providing a vivid window for people to understand and understand Lu Xun.
