On the morning of April 2nd, Premier Li Qiang met with Indonesian President elect Prabowo at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Li Qiang stated that in recent years, under the joint leadership of the two heads of state, China Indonesia relations have developed rapidly, opening a new chapter in jointly building a community with a shared future between China and Indonesia. After his election, His Excellency Prabowo made his first visit to China, once again demonstrating the profound friendship between the two countries. China is willing to work with Indonesia to maintain high-level strategic mutual trust, deepen all-round mutually beneficial cooperation, and continuously deepen the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Indonesia, achieving more win-win results and better benefiting the people of both countries. Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to maintain a good momentum of high-level exchanges with Indonesia, make good use of dialogue mechanisms at all levels, and strengthen policy communication and coordination. The two sides should further strengthen the docking of the "the Belt and Road" initiative with Indonesia's development strategy, accelerate the construction of key projects such as the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor" and the "Two Countries, Two Parks", expand cooperation in high-tech and emerging industries such as digital economy and green economy, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation in people's livelihood fields such as poverty reduction and development, rural revitalization, while deepening cooperation in traditional fields such as agriculture, forestry, and fishery. China is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Indonesia in multilateral fields such as the United Nations and the East Asian Cooperation Mechanism, jointly safeguard the interests of developing countries, defend international fairness and justice, promote global governance towards a more just and reasonable direction, and make positive contributions to regional and global prosperity and stability. Prabowo stated that Indonesia has a long history of exchanges with China. Indonesia appreciates China's respect and friendship towards Indonesia and its people, and thanks China for providing strong support and assistance to Indonesia. I came to China for my first official visit after being elected, dedicated to consolidating friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and promoting the improvement and upgrading of bilateral relations. The new Indonesian government admires China's development achievements and is willing to learn from China's experience and further deepen cooperation with China in areas such as infrastructure construction, agriculture, poverty alleviation, people's livelihoods, and green economy, building closer bilateral relations and making positive contributions to regional and world peace and development.
