Cathay Pacific's President of Customer and Business, Liu Kaishi, stated that February this year coincides with the Lunar New Year holiday, with an ideal performance in passenger transportation business and a surge in travel demand, with particularly significant growth in short haul routes. The demand for passenger transportation between Hong Kong and the mainland is also very high, with a passenger occupancy rate of up to 85% on mainland routes during the Lunar New Year period. Liu Kaishi mentioned that with the implementation of visa free arrangements between mainland China and multiple Southeast Asian countries in recent months, it is believed that the demand for flights to and from Southeast Asia from customers will continue to be strong. As different exhibitions are held in Hong Kong, the demand for business customers to come to Hong Kong will continue to be strong. In addition, the "personal travel" plan in Hong Kong has recently expanded to Xi'an and Qingdao, which will help stimulate the demand for Hong Kong tourism in the future, especially during the May Labor Day holiday.
