The Wuhan Sino French Music Concert was held on the evening of the 19th at the Qintai Concert Hall. Musicians and bands from China and France performed multiple classic songs on stage, using music as a medium to build a bridge for cultural exchange between China and France. This concert is one of the important activities of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Sino French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City and the 7th Sino French Urban Sustainable Development Forum. Representatives from various sectors of China and France, as well as over a thousand spectators, attended the event on site. At the concert, violinist Achi Matachias, pianist Alexis Gourner, soprano Cai Mian, and Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra performed classic songs by famous composers such as Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Debussy on stage. At the end of each song, warm applause echoed from the audience. "The concert not only allows us to appreciate the beauty of Chinese and French art, but also brings people from both countries to know each other." Yang Yu from Central China Normal University said that she is pleased to see more and more cultural performances like this in Wuhan. "For a long time, cultural exchange has played an important role in the relationship between China and France." Li Jian, Executive Vice President of the China France Relations Promotion Association, said that in recent years, a series of cultural exchange activities between China and France have greatly promoted communication and dialogue at the ideological level. It is reported that this concert is hosted by the French Consulate General in Wuhan, the People's Government of Caidian District in Wuhan, and the Sino French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City Management Committee. The Sino French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City, as an important project of Sino French cooperation, settled in Caidian District, Wuhan in 2014 and celebrated its 10th anniversary of signing this year. As the main carrier of the construction of the Sino French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City, Caidian District has hosted cultural exchange activities between China and France, such as the Sino French Music Festival and Summer Solstice Music Day, for many consecutive years.
