2024-03-15

Roger Agana, the editor in chief of Ghana News Network, said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency in the capital of Ghana, Accra, that technological innovation has injected a lot of vitality into the Chinese economy and will continue to promote high-quality economic growth in the future. Last December, Agana came to China to participate in the 5th World Media Summit held in Guangzhou. During the summit, he visited multiple technology innovation enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region. He said that the progress China has made in the field of technological innovation is amazing, and this trip has made him more convinced that China's development strategy guided by technological innovation is one of the main driving forces behind China's economic growth. Agana said he sees China's new energy vehicle industry thriving. "With the help of new technologies, people can fully charge electric vehicles in a short period of time, which is both easy and efficient, bringing many conveniences to people's lives." Agana, who has been following China for a long time, noticed that the keyword that the Chinese government, enterprises, and media have been discussing recently is new quality productivity. He said that accelerating the development of new productive forces in China will enable China to unleash more potential and achieve more breakthroughs in the field of scientific and technological innovation, thereby driving further high-quality development of the Chinese economy. "The experience gained by China in developing new productive forces to create a new path of economic growth will also bring new insights to Ghana and the entire African continent," said Agana. Agana stated that against the backdrop of difficult global economic recovery and some economies falling into economic contraction, China's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 5.2% in 2023, demonstrating the vitality and resilience of the Chinese economy, as well as its ability to maintain steady economic growth in a complex environment. Agana said that currently, the global economy is gradually recovering, and China remains one of the main engines promoting global economic recovery. The huge consumer market in China has driven exports from other countries, and strong production capacity continues to meet global market demand. The growth of the Chinese economy has benefited the world. "In recent years, under the framework of the" the Belt and Road "initiative, China has helped African countries develop infrastructure and other fields, driving the related industries of African countries and the overall economic development of the African continent." He said, "I believe that China's economic growth will bring more financial and technical support to Africa and make African economies more dynamic." (Li Xinshe)
