Brave exploration of distant seas and oceans

"Battle alert!" Recently, in a certain area of the South China Sea, an urgent command sounded through the sea and air. A comprehensive attack and defense drill kicked off as the naval guns held their heads high and the radar spun around. Various parts of the Navy's Hefei ship quickly entered combat mode. In the cabin of the warship, multiple female crew members skillfully operate various types of equipment at different positions, and handle various special situations issued by the command center safely and efficiently. Now, it has been 12 years since the first batch of female naval officers boarded the ship, and female officers have gradually grown into the backbone of naval vessels. On the domestically produced battleship Hefei, there are seven female crew members fighting in the main combat positions of the ship, composing a youthful movement of not loving red clothes and loving armed forces with their strength and sweat. During the dream "Missile ready, request for launch!" air defense project drill, a crisp command sound came from the missile launch control room. The female second lieutenant Liu Hui who issued the command was the terminal commander of the missile simulation launch, and also the only female officer on board the Hefei ship. Liu Hui has a calm and composed personality, decisive and decisive training, and is swift and decisive in doing things. Her resolute face is always filled with a smile and confidence, which is the impression she left for everyone. "It was the army that shaped me now," she said. In 2022, Liu Hui graduated from Dalian Naval Academy and was assigned to the Navy's Hefei ship as the captain of the missile division. On the day of receiving the order to be promoted to second lieutenant, Liu Hui was following the Hefei ship on a combat readiness patrol mission at sea. After handing over the duties of the duty officer on that day, Liu Hui arrived at the ship's takeoff and landing platform and watched the surging blue flight path at the stern. She said to herself, "The deep blue ocean is my poetry and the distance." During the drill, the most tense atmosphere was in the ship's combat room. The combat information of all systems and positions on the ship is continuously transmitted to the combat room. Sergeant Zhong Chuchu and Bin Zengying are jointly responsible for battlefield situation support, providing information support for commander decision-making. Report and issue combat messages, integrate target data, and work closely with each other in an orderly manner to ensure efficient and smooth command links. Before joining the military, Bin Zengying was a college graduate from the Chinese Department, while Zhong Chuchu was a targeted training and direct recruitment sergeant who had been studying radar. "As soon as I boarded the ship, I was assigned to the most critical position in the combat chain, which was simply a 'mountain of pressure'," they said. Nowadays, they stand out among a group of male soldiers, and the accusation position has become a stage for them to showcase themselves. During the voyage of the ship, the sea weather suddenly changed, with heavy rain pouring down and wind speeds reaching 7 levels and waves reaching 5 meters high. "Five degrees to the left" and "full rudder to the left..." Female sailor Bahejiang Selbuli steadily controlled the rudder to ensure that the ship passed through the current sea area smoothly. In 2023, she attended the 19th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China as a delegation representative. During an interview with the media, she told the story of joining the navy and pursuing her dreams in Deep Blue, as well as the experience of Bahejiang Selbuli's determination to join the military, which inspired many peers. Facing the scorching sun, Liu Hui and a group of male soldiers were busy maintaining their equipment on the missile platform. Taking off the sun hat, everyone's skin colors on their foreheads and faces are clearly distinguishable. "She likes to rush to do everything," said a class monitor. "The cabin work is very hard, and often male soldiers are given priority to do it, but she doesn't want to have such care."
