At the end of last year, Hong Kong's total savings exceeded HKD 16 trillion, an increase of approximately 5.1% year-on-year. Last year, the number of startups in Hong Kong increased by over 270 compared to 2022, reaching a historic high of nearly 4300. Li Jiachao said that in 2023, overseas and mainland enterprises established or expanded their businesses in Hong Kong through the Investment Promotion Department of the Special Administrative Region Government saw a significant increase of 27% compared to the previous year's 300 companies; Among them, companies from the UK increased by 40%, companies from Singapore increased by 30%, and companies from the United States also increased by over 10%. These companies have invested over HKD 61.6 billion in Hong Kong, nearly three times the figure from the previous year.
