On the 21st, the Ministry of Justice, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress organized a symposium on the legislation of the Private Economy Promotion Law to listen to the opinions and suggestions of representatives of private enterprises and experts and scholars on the legislation. Representatives of private enterprises and some experts and scholars attended the symposium and made speeches. To summarize practical experience, consolidate reform achievements, respond to the concerns of enterprises, fill in shortcomings and weaknesses, and effectively implement the requirement of equal treatment of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises from a legal system through hard and practical measures, playing the role of the rule of law in consolidating the foundation, stabilizing expectations, and promoting long-term development. The meeting pointed out that in accordance with the deployment requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, we should focus on protecting the property rights of private enterprises and the rights and interests of entrepreneurs in accordance with the law, fair participation in market competition, equal use of production factors, fair law enforcement and justice, and governance of small and medium-sized enterprise arrears. We should establish and improve relevant systems, maintain consistency and stability in policy formulation and implementation with the rule of law thinking and methods, further boost confidence, stimulate the endogenous power and innovative vitality of various business entities, and promote the accelerated development of new quality productive forces. Minister of Justice He Rong emphasized that the drafting of the Law on the Promotion of Private Economy has been initiated. We must adhere to the principle of opening up the door, gathering wisdom, widely listening to opinions, complying with legislative procedures, improving the quality and efficiency of legislation, consolidating consensus and strength from all parties, and formulating a practical, effective, and highly operational law to promote the healthy development of the private economy.
