In order to fully leverage the advantages of retired teachers, strengthen the construction of the teaching staff in private schools, and assist in the high-quality development of private education, the General Office of the Ministry of Education recently issued a notice to deploy the implementation of the Silver Age Teachers Support Private Education Action. It is clear to organize the selection of a group of outstanding retired teachers, and to carry out teaching and research support for private schools at all levels and types, especially private universities. The plan is to select about 20000 teachers annually. The notice proposes to encourage silver age teachers to participate in private schools in western and ethnic regions, and to engage in scarce majors urgently needed by industries, industries, and enterprises, to help private schools fill their gaps, strengths, and weaknesses, and improve quality. Encourage private schools to explore the implementation of a "mentor system", with high-quality silver age teachers serving as young teacher mentors, leveraging the mentorship effect, forming disciplinary and professional echelons, and creating a "silver age think tank". The notice clearly states that for long-term silver aged teachers, the support service period should not be less than one academic year, and support work can be flexibly carried out according to the educational, teaching, and management needs of the recipient school. Encourage qualified silver age teachers to continue providing support services.
