On February 2nd, the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone Procuratorate in Fujian Province (hereinafter referred to as the "Pingtan Procuratorate") held the first batch of internship and practical training for law students in Taiwan in 2024. Representatives of law students from Central South University of Economics and Law in Taiwan stated that interning at the Pingtan Procuratorate not only honed their legal professional skills, but also gained valuable teachers and friends, and established a bridge for communication and exchange between young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Starting from early January this year, law students from China University of Political Science and Law and Central South University of Economics and Law in Taiwan have been interning and training at the Fujian Branch of the National Prosecutor's College (Cross Strait Prosecutor Exchange Center) and the Pingtan Taiwan Special Prosecutorial Education and Training Base. This is also the first time that the procuratorial organs have received a large number of internships and practical training for law students in Taiwan. This event is an arrangement made by the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Fujian Provincial Procuratorate based on the special location and distinctive procuratorial advantages of the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone. It is also an important measure taken by the procuratorial organs to implement the Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian in Exploring a New Road for Cross Strait Integration and Development and Building a Demonstration Zone for Cross Strait Integration and Development, The relevant work has been included in the first batch of 15 policy measures for building a demonstration zone for cross-strait integration and development in Fujian Province. The relevant person in charge of the Fujian Provincial Procuratorate stated that the procuratorial organs will make good use of the joint construction of the Taiwan Youth Student Internship and Training Teaching Base by the procuratorial schools, continuously deepen the exchange and exchange of young legal talents between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, encourage and guide procuratorates with conditions to learn from the successful experience of the first batch of internship and training, expand the channels for Taiwanese compatriots to participate in Fujian's legal construction, and form a more extensive and influential procuratorial brand. It is reported that during the internship and training period, young students in Taiwan carry out internship and exchange activities around the cultivation of judicial professional skills, practical teaching of prosecutorial work, and on-site observation of courts.
