Recently, the construction of an accessible environment has attracted enthusiastic attention nationwide. Since the implementation of the Accessible Environment Construction Law in September 2023, various regions have actively implemented legal provisions and continuously made new progress in the construction of accessible environments. However, in some places, there are still problems such as insufficient implementation of laws, insufficient refinement of supporting measures, and insufficient investment in human and financial resources. Especially in terms of post construction maintenance of facilities for people with disabilities, installation and installation of signage for facilities for people with disabilities, and aging adaptation of electronic terminals and small text manuals, there are still some shortcomings. Previously, there were reports that elderly people could not read the instructions clearly due to the small handwriting, and the dosage of medication could only be taken based on sensation, which almost posed a risk to their lives. "The affairs of the world are not difficult to legislate, but difficult to implement in accordance with the law." The urgent task is to strengthen supervision through judicial, law enforcement and other means, and urge all regions to implement the relevant provisions of the Accessible Environment Construction Law well. The construction of an accessible environment involves various aspects of society, and it is necessary to identify the problems and prescribe targeted solutions. In recent years, the key issues concerned by the masses in the construction of barrier free environment have extended from simple facilities construction and maintenance issues such as the destruction and occupation of tactile paving and the shortage of barrier free parking spaces to barrier free information exchange and social services issues such as travel, ordering meals, and aging transformation of electronic products. Since the implementation of the law, many local departments have paid more attention to solving key and difficult problems. For example, the procuratorial organs in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, have urged drug regulatory departments and market supervision departments to promote barrier free modification of drug instructions to make them clear and understandable, in response to the issue of "small words like ants" affecting drug safety. The experience is worth summarizing and promoting. Previously, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, together with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development and the China Disabled Persons' Federation, reported on the progress of procuratorial public interest litigation in the construction of accessible environments, and released 12 typical cases of procuratorial public interest litigation in the construction of accessible environments. This effectively supervises the implementation of laws in various regions. In addition to public interest litigation, the Accessible Environment Construction Law also stipulates joint supervision and inspection, implementation of the goal responsibility system and assessment system for accessible environment construction, and establishment of an information disclosure system for accessible environment construction in terms of supervision and management. All relevant departments must fulfill their regulatory responsibilities well, deepen collaborative efforts, strengthen law enforcement and judicial linkage, and widely gather protection forces.
