The recent operation status of the Internet and related service industry released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that from January to November 2023, the growth rate of China's Internet business revenue continued to increase, the growth rate of total profits slowed down, and research and development expenses continued to decline. Among them, internet and related service enterprises above designated size in China (referred to as "internet enterprises") achieved internet business revenue of 1566.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%; Realized a total profit of 118.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%; The R&D investment was 82.27 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%. Looking at different fields, the internet business revenue of enterprises mainly focused on information services (including news and information, search, social media, games, music and videos, etc.) increased by 0.4% year-on-year; The internet business revenue of platform enterprises mainly providing lifestyle services (including local living, car rental, tourism, financial services, automobiles, housing, etc.) increased by 22.1% year-on-year; Enterprises that mainly provide online sales services (including bulk commodities, agricultural and sideline products, comprehensive e-commerce, medical supplies, express delivery, etc.) saw a year-on-year increase of 23.7% in their internet business revenue. Looking at different regions, the eastern region achieved internet business revenue of 1401.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%, accounting for 89.5% of the national internet business revenue; The central region achieved an internet business revenue of 70.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%; The western and northeastern regions respectively achieved internet business revenue of 91.59 billion yuan and 3.53 billion yuan, showing a year-on-year decline trend. In addition, the growth rate of internet business in half of the regions has achieved positive growth. Beijing (with a growth rate of 3.2%), Shanghai (with a growth rate of 17.4%), Zhejiang (with a growth rate of 4.8%), Guangdong (with a decrease of 6.6%), and Tianjin (with a growth rate of 19.1%), which ranked among the top 5 in cumulative business revenue, achieved a total business revenue of 1307.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%, accounting for 83.5% of the national total.
