According to the WeChat official account of Weyan Education, in order to implement the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening and improving the construction of textbooks for primary and secondary schools under the new situation, improve the quality of textbooks for primary and secondary schools as a whole, strengthen the management of textbooks at all levels, create more high-quality textbooks that foster the soul, enlighten and enhance wisdom, and serve the high-quality development of education and the construction of a powerful country in education, the National Textbook Commission has recently made important work arrangements to carry out a series of actions on strengthening the construction and management of textbooks. The series of actions focus on key issues such as implementing the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, serving the national major strategy, improving the textbook management system, and strengthening the support for textbook construction. Efforts will be made to carry out four aspects of work: first, further strengthen the compilation and revision of textbooks, strengthen the integrated construction of ideological and political courses in primary, secondary, and tertiary schools, promote the construction of key textbooks for Marxist theoretical research and construction projects in the new era, strengthen resource construction, and comprehensively promote the latest achievements of Marxism's sinicization and modernization into curriculum textbooks. The second is to improve the quality of textbook compilation for primary and secondary schools, build high-quality textbooks that integrate modern vocational education with industry and education, build a series of textbooks that support independent training of higher education talents, accelerate the digital transformation of textbooks, and promote textbook construction to serve national major strategies and talent cultivation needs. The third is to implement the division of responsibilities among departments, localities, schools, and publishing units, improve mechanisms for monitoring the use of teaching materials, supervising and dealing with problems, holding accountable, guiding and incentivizing, improve the quality of publishing teaching aids, enhance the level of management informatization, and further improve the unified leadership and division of labor responsible textbook management system. The fourth is to strengthen the construction of the teaching material team and research work, strengthen the funding guarantee for teaching material construction, and strengthen the support for teaching material construction.
