On the afternoon of the 19th, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council co chaired the 28th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers with Russian Prime Minister Mishusky at the Great Hall of the People. China is willing to take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year as an opportunity to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, continuously inherit and carry forward the friendship between China and Russia for generations, promote new and greater development of China Russia relations, continuously enhance the well-being of the two peoples, and inject more stability and positive energy into the world. Mishusjing expressed condolences to the Chinese side on the casualties caused by the earthquake in Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province. Mishusky stated that Russia China relations are at the highest level in history and maintain a rapid development momentum, becoming the ballast and stabilizer of international relations. The Russian side is willing to work with China to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, strengthen cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, energy, and investment, deepen cultural exchanges, closely communicate and coordinate within multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations and the BRICS countries, and elevate the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China to a higher level. Li Qiang and Mishusjing listened to the work reports of representatives from the China Russia Investment and Energy Cooperation Committee, the China Russia Prime Minister Regular Meeting Committee, the Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee for Northeast China and the Russian Far East and Baikal Region, and the China Russia Cultural Cooperation Committee. The two prime ministers fully affirmed the efficient and pragmatic work of the committees of both sides over the past year. Both sides agree that both China and Russia are committed to development and revitalization. Both sides need to further enhance the endogenous driving force of China Russia relations, expand bilateral trade and agricultural cooperation, create a better business environment for each other's enterprises to invest in their own countries, jointly maintain energy security, strengthen connectivity, enhance personnel exchanges and local cooperation, and ensure the security and stability of the industrial and supply chains. Li Qiang and Mishusjing jointly announced the successful conclusion of the 2022-2023 China Russia Sports Exchange Year, and both sides will host the 2024-2025 China Russia Cultural Year. After the meeting, the two prime ministers signed the Joint Communiqu é of the 28th Regular Meeting of Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers, and jointly witnessed the signing of minutes of relevant cooperation committee meetings, as well as multiple bilateral cooperation documents in customs, inspection and quarantine, market supervision and other fields.
