Recently, in order to ensure the supply and stable prices of vegetables this winter and next spring, especially New Year's Day and Spring Festival, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has made arrangements for the current vegetable production and sales work, requiring all levels of agriculture and rural departments to effectively strengthen the production and supply of "vegetable baskets" products, strengthen production and sales coordination, and ensure the income of vegetable farmers. One is to strengthen production guidance. Agricultural and rural departments at all levels should closely monitor weather changes, closely monitor potential disasters, further refine and improve vegetable production and disaster response technical plans, strengthen vegetable greenhouses and other production facilities, do a good job in disease and pest control, and ensure stable vegetable production and quality safety. The second is to promote balanced supply. Reasonably arrange the structure of vegetable varieties, planting scale, and marketing rotation to avoid centralized marketing and phased shortages of dishes. The southern region should fully leverage the advantages of winter light and temperature, and expand the production of scarce vegetable varieties. The northern region needs to increase the supply of fresh vegetables for winter and spring. The third is to strengthen monitoring and early warning. In response to the potential catastrophic weather effects of the "El Ni ñ o" this winter and next spring, agricultural and rural departments at all levels should strengthen analysis and consultation of the production and sales situation, timely warn of market fluctuations, and initiate relevant contingency plans as soon as possible. The fourth is to do a good job in production and sales coordination. Establish a sound mechanism for provincial and ministerial linkage work, establish a platform for information, product, and base docking, and enhance the pertinence, accuracy, and effectiveness of production and sales docking. For vegetable varieties that may encounter difficulties in unsold sales, we will strengthen production and sales coordination services and strive to ensure the profits of vegetable farmers. The fifth is to improve the utilization efficiency of storage and preservation facilities in the production area.
