Understanding the changes in China's development in the new era, data is the most convincing. We use 10 sets of data to record the pace of economic and social progress, showcase the driving force and achievements of China's economic development since the new era, and reveal the historical inevitability of China's path to success. Over 120 trillion yuan: In the past 10 years of achieving a historic leap in economic strength, China's total economic output has doubled, and development is standing at a new and higher historical starting point. From 2013 to 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) increased from 59.3 trillion yuan to 121 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of over 6%. Calculated at the annual average exchange rate, the total economic output reached 18 trillion US dollars, ranking second in the world. The per capita GDP increased from 43497 yuan to 85698 yuan. In 2020, China was the only major economy in the world to achieve positive economic growth. In the past three years, the average annual growth rate of the Chinese economy has reached 4.5%, which is about 2.5 percentage points higher than the world average growth rate, ranking among the top among major economies. Over the past 10 years, China's role as a stabilizer and power source for the world economy has continued to highlight. The proportion of China's total economic output to the world economy has increased from 12.3% to over 18%, with an annual average contribution rate of over 30% to global economic growth. This year is the first year that the Chinese economy has recovered from the impact of the epidemic. The Chinese economy has successfully withstood external pressure and overcome internal difficulties, achieving a rebound and improvement. In the first three quarters, the GDP reached 91302.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.2% at constant prices; It is expected to achieve the expected economic growth target of around 5% throughout the year. Recently, many international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the OECD have intensively raised their expectations for China's economic growth. Steven Barnett, Chief Representative of the International Monetary Fund in China, pointed out that China remains the largest engine of global economic growth, contributing one-third of global growth. The person in charge of the National Economic Comprehensive Department of the National Development and Reform Commission said that China's economy has strong resilience, sufficient potential, and broad room for maneuver. The long-term positive fundamentals have not changed or will not change. We have confidence and the ability to achieve long-term stable development, and continuously bring new impetus and opportunities to the world with China's new development. Over 400 million: Over the past 10 years, China has successfully won the battle against poverty and built a moderately prosperous society in all respects as scheduled, making it the largest middle-income group in the world. The per capita disposable income of residents has increased from 16500 yuan to 36883 yuan, forming the world's largest and most growing middle-income group with over 400 million people. Over the past 10 years, under the current standards in China, 98.99 million rural impoverished people have been lifted out of poverty, 832 poverty-stricken counties have all been removed from their ranks, and 128000 poverty-stricken villages have all been removed. On average, more than 10 million people are reduced in poverty each year, equivalent to the population of a medium-sized country. Achieving the poverty reduction goals outlined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development 10 years ahead of schedule is beneficial for the global community
