"Wandering - Liu Jude's Art Exhibition" held in Beijing

Beijing, December 7th (Xinhua) - The "Wandering Liu Jude Art Exhibition", supported by the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University, recently opened at the Yueyang Space in Beijing. The "Wandering - Liu Jude Art Exhibition" was held in Beijing. Yueyang Photographer Liu Jude, born in 1946 and of Mongolian ethnicity, graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts in 1970. He has served as the Vice Dean, Chairman of the Academic Committee, and Chairman of the Degree Committee of the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University. He is one of the first senior professors in humanities at Tsinghua University. I am currently a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Painting at the School of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University. I am also the director of the Wu Guanzhong Art Research Center at Tsinghua University and a member of the China Artists Association. This exhibition showcases more than 70 pieces of Mr. Liu Jude's traditional Chinese paintings, pottery sculptures, and porcelain works. The exhibition's works are representative of Mr. Liu Jude's artistic exploration in recent years. Among them, traditional Chinese paintings include "Daqing Mountain", "Dahuashan", "Red Grassland", "Bird Spirit Light", "Grassland After Flowers Bloom", "Grassland After the Wind Blows Over", and installation art such as "Flowing Sand Bay". Ma Sai, Dean of the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University, Du Dakai and Wang Hongjian, Senior Professors of Humanities at Tsinghua University, Wang Yong, Researcher and Art Historian at the Chinese Academy of Arts, Liu Shi, Dean of the School of Humanities at Tsinghua University, and Wang Luxiang, Researcher at the National Academy of Painting of China, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Wang Yong stated on the same day that Mr. Liu Jude's artistic feature lies in his profound background in Chinese philosophy. "We appreciate Mr. Liu Jude's works and should have a deep understanding of the aesthetics behind him. This can greatly promote the academic quality of contemporary Chinese painting." Liu Shi said that Liu Jude incorporated many Western techniques, including composition, into his works of creating Chinese painting, forming a model of the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.
