The completion and commissioning ceremony of the electric heating molten salt energy storage and steam injection test station in Liaohe Oilfield was held on the 6th at Huanxiling Oil Production Plant in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. This marks the first successful application of China's independently developed electric heating molten salt technology in oilfield production steam injection systems, and the new energy storage steam injection technology of electric heating molten salt has achieved a breakthrough from 0 to 1. In recent years, Liaohe Oilfield has highlighted the equal development of oil and gas and new energy, vigorously promoting the construction of the "three reservoirs" of gas storage, carbon storage, and energy storage. Among them, the electric heating molten salt energy storage steam injection test project is a key project in the construction of the Liaohe energy storage reservoir in the "three reservoirs", and also a key project in Liaoning Province. The newly completed steam injection test station has a thermal storage capacity of 15 megawatts, and its digital construction has reached an unmanned level. "Compared to the previous molten salt steam power generation system with a comprehensive efficiency of about 35%, we use our self-developed steam generation system to directly use the wet saturated steam generated by the heat exchange between recycled softened wastewater and high-temperature molten salt for oilfield steam injection production, effectively reducing energy consumption and achieving a comprehensive efficiency of 90%." Zhou Dasheng, Director of the Science and Technology Information Department of Liaohe Oilfield, introduced. It is reported that the project has successfully conquered key technologies such as electric heating molten salt energy storage and heat exchange cycle technology, precise control of steam generator dryness, and independently developed 14 core technologies including 5 categories of molten salt heating DC wet saturated steam generation device, filling the gap in China's oil and gas field molten salt energy storage technology. The smooth operation of this project will replace the conventional gas injection stations that operate continuously such as steam assisted gravity drainage technology (SAGD) and steam flooding in the Liaohe Oilfield in the future, significantly reducing fossil energy consumption. It can replace 16 million tons of steam annually, consume 10.8 billion kilowatt hours of valley time electricity and green electricity, and achieve a reduction of 1.04 billion cubic meters of natural gas consumption and 2.25 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
