Vice Minister of the Central Propaganda Department Zhang Jianchun and Chairman of the China Disabled Persons Federation Cheng Kai attended the event and delivered speeches. Zhang Jianchun pointed out that the Central Propaganda Department and the China Disabled Persons' Federation attach great importance to the cultural cause of the blind, take various measures to strengthen the publication of braille reading materials, implement digital reading promotion projects for the blind, continuously expand the supply of high-quality cultural products and services, help blind friends learn culture, obtain information, master skills, and establish and enhance their courage and confidence in life and work. As the only comprehensive cultural publishing institution in China that serves the blind, China Braille Publishing House has made important contributions to serving the overall work of the Party and the country, meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the blind, and promoting the prosperity and development of the blind cultural cause. More than 300 officials from relevant departments and directly affiliated units of the Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Education, and China Disabled Persons Federation, as well as experts in the field of visual education at home and abroad, attended the event. At the event, Yuantong Express Co., Ltd. donated 3 million yuan to China Braille Publishing House to carry out the "Dream Fulfilling Blind Children: Towards the Future" public welfare project.
