The ancient Silk Road has been stretching for thousands of years and has become a common cultural memory for the people of China and Central Asian countries. The mutual exchange and learning between China and the people of Central Asia have written a brilliant chapter in the history of human civilization exchange. Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Shiva and other ancient cities located in Uzbekistan were important nodes on the ancient Silk Road. Recently, within the framework of the Year of Culture and Arts between China and Central Asian Countries, our reporter conducted interviews in these cities at the invitation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China. Interviewees have expressed that cultural exchanges between Ukraine and China are constantly reaching new heights, and the friendship between the two peoples continues to deepen. Joint Archaeology - Reproducing the former glory of the Silk Road Ancient City. At the Samarkand Archaeological Research Institute, archaeologists from China and Ukraine are working together to organize and archive cultural relics excavated from sites such as Rabat in the Surhan River Oblast of Uzbekistan. Since 2017, the Sino Ukrainian joint archaeological team has excavated copper artifacts such as mirrors, hairpins, earrings, and bracelets at relevant sites, pottery such as pots, bowls, jars, and pots, iron artifacts such as swords, buckles, and knives, as well as various materials such as beads and gold foil ornaments from the ancient Yue culture. "The joint archaeological team has excavated a large number of precious cultural relics belonging to different historical periods. After improving the information of these relics, we will collect them in museums." Professor Alzyev Komilion of the Samarkand Archaeological Research Institute said that deepening cultural exchange and cooperation between Ukraine and China will once again showcase the glorious history of the Silk Road ancient city to the world. The capital of Surkhan River Prefecture, Tiermez, is known as the Kingdom of Mimi in the Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty. The Karatepa Site is located near the Amu Darya River in Tiermez, and when viewed from the highest point of the site, many caves and ancient ruins can be seen. Under the yellow sand, protective sheds were erected on several test pits. Hulamova Feruza, the relevant person in charge of the cultural and tourism department in Tiermez, told reporters that joint archaeology has been launched in Tiermez. "We look forward to archaeologists from both countries leveraging their respective strengths to achieve more fruitful results." China insists on using cultural exchange to transcend cultural barriers, cultural mutual learning to transcend cultural conflicts, and cultural inclusiveness to transcend cultural superiority, actively building bridges for mutual learning and learning between different civilizations. Chinese archaeologists and scholars have engaged in in-depth exchanges and cooperation with their counterparts in Uzbekistan, sharing the concepts and experiences of site and cultural relic protection. They are making contributions to restoring the historical landscape of the Silk Road, promoting cultural heritage and exchange, and enhancing friendship between the two peoples. At the opening ceremony of the third the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, China announced that it would expand the number of joint laboratories jointly built with all parties to 100 in the next five years.
