Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, November 29 (Reporter Xu Zhuang, Shi Yucen) The National Cutural Heritage Administration held a working meeting on the important progress of the "Archaeological China" major project on November 29, which reported the latest archaeological progress of Liangzhu Ancient City and the site of the water conservancy system in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, Sidun Site in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, Shayang Chenghe Site in Hubei Province, and the origin and spread of Nandao languages. The new discovery of Liangzhu Ancient City and Water Conservancy System Ruins has preliminarily clarified that the Liangzhu Site Group has gone through three stages of development: the construction of scattered settlements using mountain terrain, the planning and construction of water conservancy systems, Mojiao Mountain and Fanshan, and the construction of Liangzhu Ancient City with city walls and outer walls. This reflects the evolution process of Liangzhu population settlement management, urban construction concepts, and belief systems, which are constantly maturing, The significance of Liangzhu culture in the origin of Chinese civilization is demonstrated. Sidun Site is a central settlement site in the period of Songze Liangzhu Culture. The change of cultural form and settlement layout from Songze Culture to Liangzhu Culture vividly reflects the complex process of prehistoric society in the Taihu Lake Lake area, and provides a new perspective for discussing the development model of civilization in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The Chenghe Site reflects the water resource management model of the Qujialing cultural group in regulating the water use of the ancient city through the construction of a series of water conservancy facilities, demonstrating the understanding and transformation of nature by the ancestors of the Neolithic Age in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River; The various forms of tombs in the Wangjiabang Cemetery reflect the complexity of the Qujialing cultural community structure and the phenomenon of social differentiation. The study on the origin and diffusion of the Austronesian language family has improved the archaeological and cultural spatiotemporal framework in the southeastern coastal areas of China, revealing the cultural characteristics, livelihood patterns, and social structure of prehistoric populations who deeply cultivated the mainland and developed and utilized the ocean. It provides important clues for exploring the origin and diffusion of the Austronesian language family and is an important empirical evidence of the "diverse and integrated" evolution pattern of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation.
