In the depths of winter, the China International Exhibition Center located in Shunyi, Beijing is as warm as spring, waiting for guests from all over the world. On November 28th, the first China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, will kick off here. This is the world's first national level exhibition with a supply chain theme. Under the name of "Chain" and with the theme of "Linking the World and Creating the Future Together", we promote the connection between upstream, midstream, and downstream, the integration of large, medium, and small enterprises, collaboration between industry, academia, research, and application, and interaction between domestic and foreign enterprises. New Platform: Consolidate Consensus on Open Cooperation "The Chain Expo is the world's first national level exhibition with supply chain as its theme. It integrates trade promotion, investment cooperation, innovation gathering, and learning and exchange functions, aiming to build a new window for promoting high-level opening up to the outside world, a new platform for building a new development pattern of service construction, a new carrier for promoting the construction of an open world economy, and a new practice for practicing the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind." Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said. The Chain Expo promotes the global business community to find partners in the upstream and downstream of the supply chain, jointly issuing the strongest voice to maintain the stability and smoothness of the global industrial and supply chains. The first Chain Expo will set up five major chains and supply chain service exhibition areas, including intelligent automobile chains, green agricultural chains, clean energy chains, digital technology chains, and healthy life chains. 515 domestic and foreign enterprises and institutions will focus on showcasing new technologies, products, and services in key links upstream, midstream, and downstream of each chain. The Chain Expo will hold a Global Supply Chain Innovation and Development Forum, where over a thousand Chinese and foreign guests, including government departments, business representatives, international organization representatives, and experts and scholars, will have in-depth exchanges, discussions, and discuss cooperation plans. In addition, during the Chain Expo, 6 themed forums, a think tank forum for trade promotion, a press conference on the Global Supply Chain Promotion Report, and a series of supporting activities will be held. "From the current global trade situation, strengthening the stability of the supply chain is particularly important, and we hope that the first Chain Expo will play a huge role in this regard," said Yohei Kono, President of the Japan Association for the Promotion of International Trade. The Fortune Global 500 and leading global supply chain companies have made appearances, with 26% of exhibitors from overseas covering 55 countries and regions. Among them, companies from the United States and Europe are the most eye-catching, accounting for 36% of the total number of foreign exhibitors. Five international organizations, including the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization, the International Trade Center, and the International Chamber of Commerce, were the supporting units for the first Chain Expo. In addition, the Chain Expo has also set up international exhibition areas, where South Africa, Canada, Japan, Vietnam, the African Union, the Arab League, Portuguese speaking countries, Latin American and Caribbean countries will participate in exhibitions in the form of national and regional booths. Liang Guoyong, a senior economist at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, stated that international cooperation in the supply chain is of great significance at the enterprise, industry, and national levels. Against the backdrop of profound adjustments in the global supply chain, the holding of the first Chain Expo will help further promote international cooperation in the supply chain. New Window: The Smart Automobile Chain, which covers the entire lifecycle of the smart automobile industry, will showcase various vehicle types and services, including core raw materials and key components, batteries, motors, electronic control, and intelligent connected devices, as well as pure electric, hybrid, and extended range electric vehicles
