Li Qiang Meets with Uruguayan President Lacalle

On the morning of November 23, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with Uruguayan President Lacalle, who is on a state visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People. Li Qiang stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine 35 years ago, both sides have always adhered to mutual understanding, trust, and support, and their relations have achieved high-level development. China is willing to work with Ukraine to follow the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, promote the continuous rejuvenation and achievement of new vitality in China Ukraine relations, and create a model of mutual respect and trust among countries with different social systems, mutual benefit and complementarity among countries with different economic sizes, and mutual learning and mutual learning among countries with different cultural backgrounds. Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to continue to firmly support each other with Ukraine on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns. The two sides should adhere to the principle of mutual benefit and win-win results, give full play to complementary advantages, and take the signing of the "the Belt and Road" cooperation plan as an opportunity to promote the continuous growth and quality of bilateral trade, improve the level of trade and investment facilitation, strengthen cooperation in clean energy, communications, scientific and technological innovation, finance and other fields, and expand cultural and tourism, education, sports, local and other people to people exchanges. China supports Uruguay to play a greater role in regional affairs and is willing to work with Ukraine to deepen overall cooperation between China and Latin America, promote the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Latin America, uphold multilateralism and an open world economy, and better defend international fairness and justice. Lakale stated that although Ukraine and China are far apart, political mutual trust and understanding between the two countries are increasingly deepening. The establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Ukraine and China has opened up broad prospects for the development of bilateral relations. Uzbekistan is firmly committed to close relations with China and actively participates in the construction of the "the Belt and Road". It is willing to uphold the traditional friendship with China, deepen political mutual trust, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, investment, culture, education, local and other fields, accelerate the construction of the free trade partnership between Uruguay and the Southern Common Market and China, and promote the continuous and in-depth development of bilateral relations.
