In the middle of November, the results docking meeting of the 2023 "Internet plus" competition of the World University Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base was held in Chongqing High tech Zone of Western Science City. This event is the first large-scale event of the World University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base. This docking meeting was attended by representatives of college students and entrepreneurs from over 70 universities in Chengdu and Chongqing, as well as over 40 enterprises, research institutes, and investment institutions. There were launch ceremonies, expert sharing, project roadshows, and achievement docking. At the launch ceremony, 22 of the first batch of projects to settle in the World University Base were centrally signed, covering multiple industry fields such as intelligent connected new energy vehicles and core devices, software and information services, new intelligent terminals, biopharmaceuticals, and robotics. In the link of achievement docking, 30 award-winning works of previous "Internet plus" competitions, such as "new flexible display circuit board", "safe and high-performance lithium metal battery" and "new generation high-speed communication technology for 6G" from universities in Sichuan and Chongqing, brought concentrated performances and won high praise from the heads of enterprises, scientific research institutes and venture capital institutions. It is understood that the World University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base takes the overall idea of "facing the world, jointly building with departments and cities, connecting resources, and creating benchmarks", and follows the "1+N" construction model to build a central area in the Science Valley. The base is linked to 28 innovation and entrepreneurship bases of universities in Science City, various entrepreneurship incubation carriers, and expanded to include innovation and entrepreneurship carriers in the city, radiating to universities across the country and overseas. The central area will be equipped with Science Valley Party and Mass Service Center, Conference Center, Talent Apartments, Hotels, Commercial and other spaces, forming a 400000 square meter international maker community that integrates functions such as communication, cultivation, practical training, incubation, display, and docking. It will create a comprehensive display window for the world's university student innovation and entrepreneurship base and a center for exchange, cooperation, and comprehensive coordination services for world university student innovation and entrepreneurship. At present, the base has established a linkage system of "industry, education, specialized funds, and government", and formed a college student innovation and entrepreneurship consortium. The "on campus off campus incubator accelerator industrial park" relay throughout the entire process, forming an "ecological loop" of innovation and entrepreneurship from the school to the industry. The base also has three platforms for innovation and entrepreneurship coordination, resources, and activities, continuously providing high-quality resources and channels for college student entrepreneurship projects, and providing exchange and display platforms such as entrepreneurship and innovation competitions and global summit forums. In addition, the base has also established a policy support system, focusing on talent, innovation, and industry. Corresponding policies have been introduced and improved, and a comprehensive and full cycle policy system has been basically formed for innovation and entrepreneurship projects from universities to enterprises, from incubators to accelerators, and then to industrial parks.
