At the kickoff meeting on the 18th, Zhu Songchun, Dean of Beijing Institute of General Artificial Intelligence and Dean of Peking University School of Intelligence, awarded the "Joint Training Base" plaque to representatives of 9 universities, including Peking University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Science and Technology of China, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. The "Tong Plan" will fully utilize the advantageous resources of the Tong Research Institute and higher education institutions to achieve strategic cooperation, create a training system for the integration of undergraduate and doctoral programs in general artificial intelligence, and share more than 20 cutting-edge courses in general artificial intelligence jointly offered by the Tong Research Institute and Peking University. The first batch of "General Plan" students have enrolled in the autumn semester of 2023 and are taking courses at cooperative universities. The enrollment target for the "Tonglan" special doctoral program in 2024 is 130 people. At present, the General Research Institute has completed the first round of enrollment for the 2024 "General Plan" in the enrollment batch of undergraduate students directly pursuing doctoral studies with universities such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University and China University of Science and Technology.
