Thanks to the rapid development of technology, the number of patents in related fields in China is also growing rapidly. According to the data from "Analysis", in the past 10 years, the cumulative number of applications for next-generation internet technology patents worldwide has reached approximately 4.17 million, of which China has applied for nearly 1.71 million, accounting for approximately 40% of the total. From 2013 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of patent applications in related fields in China reached 25.11%, more than twice the global growth rate. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposes to "accelerate the development of the digital economy, promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and create a digital industry cluster with international competitiveness." In 2022, the scale of China's digital economy has reached 50.2 trillion yuan, accounting for 41.5% of GDP, ranking second in the world. Continuously strengthening, optimizing, and expanding China's digital economy, promoting high-quality development of the economy, there is an urgent need to accelerate the iteration of next-generation internet technology innovation. "Xie Xiaoyong, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Intellectual Property Research Association, said that China's internet platform companies should focus more on technological innovation and patent layout of industrial internet, and achieve a" dual leg run "between consumer internet and industrial internet. Xie Xiaoyong pointed out that from the perspective of industrial development, there is still a certain gap between China and the United States' large-scale internet platforms in the field of industrial internet. On the top ten list of effective patents in the relevant fields listed in "Analysis", domestic entities account for 3 places. The Analysis points out that China's real economy, after long-term development and growth, has provided diverse and "virtual to real" application scenarios for the digital economy, thereby promoting the continuous iteration and upgrading of next-generation internet technology.
