China and South Korea will hand over the remains of the 10th batch of Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs in South Korea

The reporter learned from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs that recently, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the South Korean Ministry of Defense reached an agreement on the handover of the remains of the 10th batch of Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs in South Korea. The two sides will jointly hold a ceremony for the burial of the remains of Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs in South Korea on November 22 of this year, and a handover ceremony will be held on November 23. The South Korean side will transfer the remains of 25 Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs and related relics to the Chinese side in South Korea. It is understood that China and South Korea, in accordance with international law and humanitarian principles, have successfully handed over the remains of 913 Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs and related relics in South Korea for nine consecutive times from 2014 to 2022. This year is the tenth handover implemented in accordance with the consensus reached between China and South Korea. In the future, the remains of Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs excavated in South Korea will continue to be handed over to China by the South Korean side.
