Recently, a unique Tibetan film "One and Four" has entered the public eye. Unlike previous impressions and imaginations of Tibetan themes, this film brings viewers an immersive "script killing" in a snowstorm with a fast-paced sense of suspense and a high concentration of human gameplay. On a snowstorm night, ranger Sangjie's cabin suddenly broke into a gunman who claimed to be a forest police officer, ambushed and arrested villager Genbao, who was suspected of being a poacher. In a moment of shock, another man broke in with a gun, claiming that he was the real forest police officer. Who is a poacher? Who is lying? What secrets are hidden in this wilderness escape? The truth is elusive, and there are sudden murders all around, while there is always a pair of eyes outside the house staring coldly at all of this... "One and Four" is the first feature film by young director Kumi, born in 1995. He was nominated for the main competition unit of the 34th Tokyo International Film Festival and the Firebird Film Award at the 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival Rookie Film Competition for his film, winning the Best Director award at the 16th FIRST Youth Film Festival and the Best New Director award at the 16th Asian Film Awards. Recently, director Kumei Cheng Lie of "One and Four" received an exclusive interview with a reporter from China Youth Daily and China Youth Network. This 26 year old Tibetan director has a calm and gentle temperament, and his speech is particularly humble. He told reporters that this film is actually his undergraduate work in the directing department of Beijing Film Academy. During her 4 years studying at Beijing Film Studio, Kumei Cheng Lie made many short films that were biased towards genres. Just as he was preparing for filming, he accidentally saw the short story "One and Four" by Tibetan writer Jiang Yangcai Rang, and was attracted by its story and temperament. A scene flashed in Kumi Cheng's mind: several seemingly tough looking people chasing each other in the ice and snow, and then meeting in a wooden house. The entire atmosphere was very exciting and tense, with a sense of male hormone explosions. Kumei Chenglie felt that this was a type that he hadn't seen in the film market for a long time, so he decided to give it a try. This novel tells a story that takes place in the West, where you can see the very direct confrontational relationship between people and nature. At the same time, this story has a mysterious temperament, like the complex psychological state of a forest ranger who cannot distinguish true from false, much like a certain mentality in our daily lives. This story is very interesting, and I want to film it. When asked why the movie was named "One and Four", When there was any hidden meaning behind it, Kumei Cheng Lie talked about his understanding. The 'one' represents the deer in the film, which is the presence of bystanders in the human world, with timeless spirituality, and is a more significant 'one'; And the 'four' represent the four people who ultimately fight in the cabin, reflecting the complexity of humanity. Kumei Cheng Lie mentioned in the original novel that there was a sign in front of the wooden house of the forest ranger, which read "People can lie, but red deer cannot". He found it very interesting and wanted to use the image of red deer to express deeper content. At the end of the movie, the fierce conflict between the four people suddenly came to an end, as the wooden door suddenly opened and the red deer, whose antlers had been cut off by the poacher rescued by the ranger, stood outside. Kumei Cheng Lie said, 'This
