Researchers speculate that the way pigeons solve problems is similar to the "brute force algorithm" used in artificial intelligence models, which is the simplest and most intuitive algorithm in pattern matching. There are four different tasks in the study, some of which are more difficult than others. The results showed that through repeated trial and error, the proportion of pigeons making the right choice in a relatively simple test increased from approximately 55% to 95%.
