Support the high-end, intelligent, digital, and green development of Dongguan's Taiwanese manufacturing industry, encourage small and medium-sized Taiwanese enterprises to develop into "specialized, refined, and innovative" enterprises and high-tech enterprises, and actively pilot the reform of facilitating the transportation of Taiwanese residents to and from the mainland... Guangdong will implement multiple measures to support Dongguan in deepening innovation and development cooperation across the Taiwan Strait. On October 25th, at a press conference held by the Provincial Government Information Office, relevant officials interpreted the specific measures of the "Dongguan Overall Plan for Deepening Cross Strait Innovation and Development Cooperation" (hereinafter referred to as the "Dongguan Plan"). The introduction and implementation of the Dongguan Plan is conducive to accelerating the construction of common industries, markets, and homes across the Taiwan Strait, and sharing more opportunities and achievements for mainland development with Taiwanese enterprises. "said Zhu Wei, Deputy Director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Executive Deputy Director of the Provincial Dawan District Office. Industrial cooperation?? More than 660 enterprises in Guangdong and Taiwan have been recognized as high-tech enterprises. The Dongguan Plan clearly proposes four target positioning: to create a new engine for industrial innovation and development across the Taiwan Strait, a new highland for scientific and technological innovation cooperation between the two sides, a new hub for cultural and cultural exchanges between the two sides, and a new platform for exchanges and cooperation between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong and Macao regions. Zhu Wei introduced that Guangdong will focus on the three key areas of industry, market, and people's livelihood, and ensure the implementation of various key tasks with high quality, high standards, and high level. Among them, working together to build a modern industrial system is the key. Specific measures include supporting the high-end, intelligent, digital, and green development of Dongguan's Taiwan-owned manufacturing industry, and developing new service-oriented manufacturing formats; Support eligible Taiwanese enterprises to list on the mainland, and support the pilot policy of fully utilizing the integrated domestic and foreign currency fund pool for Taiwanese enterprises; Support the application and recognition of national level strategic emerging industry clusters for new generation information technology and other industrial clusters, and explore policy support for strategic emerging industry enterprises that meet the conditions in Dongguan. At the same time, Guangdong will also work together to create a common market for both sides of the Taiwan Strait by supporting the transformation and upgrading of processing trade for Taiwanese enterprises, increasing online sales efforts for Taiwanese enterprises, and promoting reform and innovation in port clearance models. At the press conference, Fang Tao, Deputy Director of the Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office, shared a set of data: as of the first half of this year, Guangdong has introduced more than 33000 Taiwanese funded enterprises, with contract utilization of over 93 billion US dollars, and actual utilization of over 71 billion US dollars.
