Moving towards the Deep Sea and Accelerating Rural Wind Power to Open up New Growth Space

2023-10-18

The exhibition area has reached a historical record of 80000 square meters, with thousands of domestic and foreign enterprises participating, more than 20 new products and technologies to be released, and the number of visitors expected to exceed 100000 people... The popularity of the wind power industry can be seen from the ongoing 2023 Beijing International Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition (CWP2023). In recent years, guided by the "dual carbon" goal, a new type of power system with new energy as the main body has been steadily constructed. Wind power has ushered in a historic period of opportunity, maintaining a high-speed development level of 50 million kilowatts of new installed capacity per year, and continuously increasing its contribution to the national green power. It is reported that the next step is for relevant departments to strengthen top-level design, increase policy supply, and promote the high-quality leapfrog development of wind power. Offshore wind power and rural wind power will open up new growth space. In front of the CRRC booth, there is a constant stream of consultants. Exhibits such as onshore ultra high power units, offshore wind turbines, and offshore wind power dry-type transformers were unveiled along with models of rail transit equipment such as the Fuxing Intelligent Multiple Unit, the Yawan High Speed Rail Multiple Unit, and the 600 km/h Maglev Multiple Unit. Behind this move is the central enterprise, which is well-known to the public for its high-speed rail, committed to turning wind power equipment into the "second business card". At this exhibition, CRRC Corporation of China released dozens of new technologies and products in the field of wind and solar hydrogen storage, including 8-16MW power level "Sea Level 1" units, onshore ultra high power units adapted to the "Three North" medium and high speed areas and the "Sha Ge Huang" wind farm environment, domestic onshore maximum power 12MW level direct cooled doubly fed wind turbines, 20MW offshore semi direct drive permanent magnet synchronous wind turbines, 5MW-12MW fully integrated offshore wind power gearboxes, and more. Against the backdrop of large-scale wind turbines and clear trends in COSCO, companies are currently accelerating the layout of wind turbines with a capacity of 20 or even 22 megawatts. "Technical personnel at CRRC's exhibition booth told reporters," The iteration of wind power technology is very fast now, with an increase of 2-3 megawatts per year. "Thanks to policy promotion and joint efforts in the industry chain, the pace of product and technological innovation in China's wind power industry has significantly accelerated in recent years. According to Wang Dapeng, Deputy Director of the New and Renewable Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, China's wind power not only has the ability to independently research and develop large-scale wind turbines, but also has formed a complete manufacturing chain for wind power equipment industry. The overall strength and competitiveness of manufacturing enterprises have greatly improved, and they are at an international leading level in the research and development of large capacity units, long blades, and high tower applications. New technology applications are constantly emerging, The new sensing technology represented by LiDAR and the intelligent technology based on big data analysis have made the overall management of wind power more efficient. Technological innovation has provided wings for the development of the industry to take off. In the past decade, China's wind power installed capacity has grown at an average annual rate of over 20%, ranking first in the global wind power installed capacity for many consecutive years. According to data from the National Energy Administration, from January to August this year, the country added 28.92 million kilowatts of wind power connected to the grid. As of the end of August, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power in China was about 400 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%. Industry insiders believe that the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposes to actively and steadily promote carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and accelerate the planning and construction of new energy sources
