The National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Sport recently jointly held a meeting to promote the construction of sports parks, proposing to expand the supply of public welfare and basic national fitness services, and to build and utilize sports parks well. Make sports parks a new carrier of national fitness facilities, a new measure to improve people's living standards, a new scene to drive economic recovery and growth, and a new business card to shape urban style and taste. The meeting proposed to prioritize ecological protection, ensure that the construction of sports parks does not exceed the ecological protection red line, do not damage the natural ecosystem, scientifically and reasonably plan the location of sports parks, integrate the concept of convenience and accessibility throughout the construction, and increase the supply of sports venues around the masses. We should use event activities to activate venue facilities, hold more mass and public welfare activities, fully mobilize social forces to participate in the construction and operation of sports parks, and improve service quality.
