The Guangdong Hong Kong Macao exhibition area of the Travel Expo promotes domestic consumption of cultural and tourism. This is the first provincial-level cultural and tourism industry event after the epidemic. It not only builds a communication and cooperation platform for the industry, but also provides innovative product supply to the market, promoting high-quality development of the industry. Li Bin, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, stated in his speech at the conference that in recent years, the development momentum of Guangdong's cultural and tourism industry has been strong, with innovative and creative vitality bursting out, presenting a new atmosphere where cultural and tourism flowers are blooming and poetry is shared in the distance. The main indicators such as the added value of cultural and related industries and total tourism revenue in the province have remained the top in the country for many consecutive years, demonstrating strong industrial resilience and development strength. From January to August this year, the province received 447 million tourists and had a total tourism revenue of 575.69 billion yuan, recovering to 87.9% and 91% of 2019 levels, respectively; The number of tourists received and the total tourism revenue in the province during the summer exceeded the pre epidemic level, becoming the "hottest" summer tourism peak season in the past five years. At the promotion conference, Guangdong cultural and tourism promotion videos and cultural and tourism promotion videos from 21 cities in Guangdong Province were broadcasted on-site, showcasing the beauty of mountains and rivers and the charm of culture in Guangdong's cultural and tourism industry in all aspects. At the meeting, the results of the "Hundred Cities and Hundred Districts" financial support for cultural and tourism consumption in Guangdong Province were also released.
