2023-09-07

From September 4th to 6th, the 2023 China International Intelligent Industry Expo was held in Chongqing. The theme of this year's Smart Expo is "integrating intelligence from all directions and drawing on the strengths of others", focusing on annual themes such as "Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles" and Digital China. It focuses on four major sectors: intelligent connected new energy vehicles, intelligent equipment and intelligent manufacturing, new generation information technology, and smart cities, focusing on industrial development. Currently, digital technology is increasingly integrated into all aspects of the economy and society, injecting strong momentum into promoting modernization. Automobile companies are transitioning from providing transportation to providing travel products, digital services, and ecological services. Li Keqiang, an academician of the CAE Member and professor of the School of Vehicle and Transportation of Tsinghua University, said in his speech at the Smart Expo that "the development of intelligent connected vehicles has become a strategic direction for the development of the global automobile industry. Mobile communication technology, artificial intelligence, big data, etc., integrated with automobile transportation, will form a strategic commanding point at the technical level." Talking about the development direction of digital cars, Zhu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chongqing Chang'an Automobile Co., Ltd., believes that in the future, automobiles will be a mobile multi-functional space, a large intelligent computing terminal, a data collection carrier, and a mobile energy storage unit. Cars have evolved from original means of transportation to digital platform products, becoming smarter, more understanding, and more interconnected intelligent car robots. It will promote the development of smart transportation, smart cities, and smart societies. Currently, the automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation that has not been seen in a century. China's new energy vehicles have shown explosive growth and new changes in product structure, with their penetration rate increasing from 5.9% in 2020 to 32% in July this year. New energy vehicles are accelerating their transformation from "policy driven" to "market driven". The intelligence and digitization of automobiles have also become a trend in the industry. Peng Jianfeng, Executive Secretary General of the China Electronic Video Industry Association, stated in his speech that new energy vehicles have become an important trend in the development of China's automotive industry. The latest data released by the Ministry of Public Security shows that the total number of new energy vehicles in China exceeded 16.2 million in the first half of 2023. It is expected that the penetration rate of intelligent cabins in the Chinese market will exceed 75% by 2025, becoming the main track for the development of the automotive industry. Electric motor control, chassis, battery, and intelligent cockpit are the four important components of intelligent connected vehicles. In the view of Li Xiaojun, General Manager of the Industrial Internet Security Division of Qi'anxin Technology Group Co., Ltd., the rise of intelligent cabins marks the progress of the automotive industry towards intelligence and digitization. Cui Dongshu, Secretary General of the National Passenger Car Market Information Joint Conference, stated in his keynote speech that, With the continuous development of new energy vehicles and intelligent cabins, the automotive industry is undergoing a revolutionary change. In the future, intelligent cabins will be further popularized and developed, becoming the 'third living space' of mobility, bringing users a more convenient, safe, and enjoyable travel experience. "Zhuang Li, founder and CEO of Magna (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., said more specifically, The core challenge of automotive intelligence lies in how to solve the fragmentation problem of automotive software development while controlling costs. In recent years, the automotive industry has experienced rapid development, especially since 2020, China has
