The Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Education Department of Guangdong Province signed the "Framework Agreement on Strengthening Education Exchange and Cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong" on August 24, strengthening educational cooperation between the two regions, supporting high-quality development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and promoting Hong Kong's alignment with national development strategies. The agreement provides a framework for strengthening educational exchange and cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, including continuing to encourage higher education institutions in Guangdong and Hong Kong to carry out educational cooperation, talent joint training, and scientific and technological exchange and cooperation; Strengthen Guangdong Hong Kong vocational education cooperation and further deepen Guangdong Hong Kong qualification framework cooperation; Promote the construction of sister schools in Guangdong and Hong Kong, promote various exchange activities, improve the quality of exchange activities, and continue to support teacher collaboration and training exchanges between the two regions. The memorandum supports mainland vocational colleges and the Vocational Training Bureau to carry out different cooperation projects, and supports the Vocational Training Bureau to actively participate in the development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Characteristic Vocational Education Park, in order to strengthen Guangdong Hong Kong vocational education exchanges and jointly cultivate skilled talents in the Greater Bay Area.
