New strategic channel! The first "Zhongjiwu" international train in the Greater Bay Area departs from Baiyun, Guangzhou

2023-07-04

In the morning of July 4, with the sound of a whistle, an international train full of famous and special products in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, such as office furniture, air conditioners, Small appliance, slowly drove out of the Guangzhou International Port, located in Jianggao, Baiyun District, marking the official opening of the "China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan" international bus rail intermodal train from the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. The train is organized and operated by Xinjiang China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd., which cooperates with Guangwu Holding Group and Port of Shenzhen Group. The container "railway highway" international multimodal transport mode is used throughout the train. After arriving at Kashgar railway station by rail, the train leaves the country from Erkeshtam and finally arrives in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Compared with the traditional line, it can save about 5 days, which is more time efficient and economical, It provides a more convenient and fast channel for trade exchanges between Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and Central Asia. Central Asia, the fourth strategic route of the Trans-Eurasia Logistics, is the first place to advocate the "the Belt and Road" initiative. In 2022, the trade volume between China and the five Central Asian countries reached 70.2 billion US dollars, reaching a historic high, an increase of about 100 times compared to when diplomatic relations were established. Under the framework of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the development strategy of Central Asian countries, China and Central Asian countries make full use of the complementarity of trade and industrial structure to constantly expand the space for practical cooperation and development. In May, at the first China Central Asia Summit held in Xi'an, Shaanxi, the heads of state of the six countries jointly signed the Xi'an Declaration of the China Central Asia Summit, outlining the blueprint for the development of future "China Central Asia" relations, providing important assistance for promoting economic development, people's well-being, and good neighborly mutual trust in the region, and revitalizing the ancient Silk Road in Central Asia. Previously, most of the trade transportation from China to Central Asian countries left the country through the Khorgos port through the Trans-Eurasia Logistics. With the rapid increase in trade volume and the intensification of port congestion, there is an urgent need to open up a new transportation channel to accelerate the flow of goods. On the one hand, the opening of the "Great Bay Area - China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan" highway railway intermodal train has strengthened the economic and trade exchanges between the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area; on the other hand, it has laid a solid foundation for the upcoming China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway operation project, opened the fourth strategic channel for international transportation of the Trans-Eurasia Logistics, and formed a spatial layout of "multi-directional extension and sea land connectivity", We will help the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and Xinjiang deeply participate in the construction of the "the Belt and Road" international cooperative economic corridor and improve the level of opening up. The "China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan" international train will realize the normal operation of Xinjiang China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd., which is a practical measure for Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and a typical example for the provincial and municipal governments to unite with each other to seize the historical opportunity of the construction of the China Europe Banlienan Corridor and promote the implementation of the task of industrial assistance to Xinjiang. The person in charge of Guangwu International Logistics stated that, "With the active support and coordination of the relevant departments of the two places, Xinjiang China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd. has established a daily work contact mechanism. Guangwu International Logistics and Yantian Port Logistics Group, a subsidiary of Port of Shenzhen, gave full play to their own resource advantages, and carried out full demonstration and research around the organization and consolidation of goods sources, the incoming inspection of trains, and the coordination of operation plans. The station customs under Guangzhou Customs strengthened communication with the port customs to ensure smooth customs clearance Set“
