Flower Village Blooms "Beautiful Economy"

2023-06-25

In midsummer, when we entered Luli Village, Huanglou Street, Qingzhou, Weifang, Shandong Province, there were rows of flower greenhouses on both sides of the main road. In the greenhouses, various kinds of high-grade flowers were blooming. Our village has a total of 265 households, with almost every household growing flowers. It is a truly professional flower village, with three or four flower sheds per household and an annual income of around 400000 yuan. Many villagers have driven cars and lived in buildings, "said Li Hongjie, the secretary of the Party branch of Luli Village. Before the development of the flower industry, villagers relied on the sky to grow crops, with an average income of only a few thousand yuan per household. The collective income of the village was small, and the development of livelihood undertakings was powerless. More than 30 years ago, Li Hongru, a villager of Luli Village, planted chrysanthemums in his own land and sold them at the market. Unexpectedly, they became a popular rarity, allowing him to taste the sweetness of planting flowers. The villagers also followed suit and started planting flowers. Entering the greenhouse of villager Li Daoxue, the workers were busy filling the seedlings into pots. I have been planting flowers for more than 20 years. Initially, I mainly planted azaleas, cyclamen, and other varieties, but later changed with the market. Li Daoxue told reporters that years of planting have honed the market thinking of flower farmers, and they can plant whatever varieties are lacking in the market. Li Daoxue also witnessed the upgrading and iteration of the flower industry in the village: the greenhouse was initially built with bamboo poles, later piled with thick soil walls, and now constructed with steel frames. Temperature and humidity control has also changed from fully manual to fully automatic. Look at the horn like thing hanging in the middle of the greenhouse, which senses temperature. If there is a temperature deviation, it will remind me through my phone. "Li Dao said, and now the flower greenhouse is becoming more and more" intelligent ". In recent years, with the rise of the meat market, some villagers turned to meat planting. In the greenhouse of villager Yang Fuwen, there are many succulent seedlings scattered all over, with over a dozen varieties being hybridized by him. He purchased a hybrid between male and female parents based on the popular succulent variety in the market, and the price of the new variety cultivated is two to three times that of ordinary varieties on the market. Yang Fuwen held a short, plump and succulent seedling in his hand and said, "I named it 'Bingbo'. In summer, it will grow into a red 'sugar heart', which is very beautiful and popular in the market." The 'pattern economy' in Luli Village attracts young people to return. In the flower shed of Li Shasha, a "post-80s" villager, an e-commerce anchor surrounded by pots of lotus flowers was enthusiastically introducing products in front of her mobile phone, while Li Shasha and workers were busy packing orders. Li Shasha used to work outside and saw her friend's live streaming flower sales becoming very popular, so she had the idea of returning to her hometown to start a business. "I went to many flower greenhouses, and finally decided to sell Baolian Lanterns. This kind of flower introduced from the Netherlands has broad leaves, large flowers, and looks noble and grand." As the first batch of farmers selling Baolian Lanterns live in Qingzhou, Li Shasha's e-commerce has been a small scale, with daily sales of about 90 pots, and more often 200 pots a day. The flower industry not only boosts the pockets of villagers, but also increases the collective income of villages. Several hundred acres of hilly land in the south of Luli Village are often abandoned due to unsuitable conditions for grain cultivation. More than 10 flower enterprises have been introduced into the village, and these land will be transferred and leased to the enterprises at the cost of the village collective. After the village became wealthy, the hardware facilities were upgraded
