WeChat Pay was launched in Nepal on the 22nd. Officials from the Central Bank of Nepal have stated that this move will promote trade and tourism between Nepal and China. On the day of the launch ceremony, it was held in the Nepalese tourist resort of Pokhara, where Tencent and Nepalese NMB Bank collaborated to launch WeChat mobile payment services in Nepal.
