National wheat has gradually entered a concentrated harvest period

2023-06-02

After a rainy day, in the wheat field of Liudian Town, Queshan County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province, the harvesters shuttle back and forth, and the machines roar. During the farming season, there are no waiting people. Hurry up your homework! "Said Liu Jianxin, a cross district mechanic from Chizhi Village, Xinle City, Hebei Province. With the harvester moving at a constant speed, the wheat grains were continuously fed into the transport truck. They entered the field at 8 o'clock in the morning, and by noon, more than 20 acres of wheat fields were all harvested. Currently, wheat across the country has gradually entered a concentrated harvest period. In late May, there was a large-scale continuous rainfall process in the northern winter wheat region, which had a certain impact on the summer harvest. In response to the continuous rainy weather, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued an emergency notice, requiring relevant provinces to seize the opportunity to harvest and dry wheat. Actively taking action in various regions, scientific scheduling, precise docking, accelerating the progress of harvesting, and striving to ensure the return of summer grain particles to the warehouse. According to the wheat harvest scheduling of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as of 17:00 on June 1st, more than 57 million acres of winter wheat have been harvested nationwide, with a progress of nearly 20%. Hubei and Sichuan have come to an end, Anhui and Henan have made progress of over 20%, Jiangsu has made progress of over 10%, and Shaanxi has made progress of nearly 10%. Summer grain production is the first season of grain production throughout the year, accounting for 1/4 of the total grain production. This year, the planting area of summer and winter wheat in China is over 330 million mu, a steady increase compared to the previous year. In order to strive for a bountiful summer grain harvest, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has organized a production situation assessment, requiring relevant provinces to conduct field investigations one by one and promptly drain accumulated water in the fields. For areas such as North China, where wheat is still in the filling stage, we will continue to implement the "one spray, three prevention" policy to fully cover and minimize disaster losses. According to the maturity of wheat, harvest progress, and weather changes, scientifically dispatch machinery to rush the harvest. To meet the demand for grain drying, mobilize multiple forces, utilize various types of grain drying machinery, and make every effort to dry and dry, reducing losses and mold. Strengthen investigation and disposal, organize grain purchasing enterprises to classify and purchase according to the degree of germination, and prevent difficult sales situations. Henan Province, the "Central Plains Grain Warehouse," has taken key measures to seize the opportunity and organize the collection. On May 30th, the provincial finance urgently allocated 200 million yuan, specifically for wheat drying. To ensure the income of wheat farmers, the Provincial Department of Finance issued a notice requiring all agricultural insurance underwriting institutions to make full efforts to settle wheat insurance claims. The province will make good use of the existing 170000 wheel harvesters and over 30000 crawler harvesters, strengthen the linkage between provinces, cities, and counties, leverage the advantages of market-oriented cooperation mechanisms in agricultural machinery cooperatives, and maximize the effectiveness of agricultural machinery equipment. The whole province is doing its utmost to ensure the rush to harvest summer grain, and it is expected that the wheat harvest will basically end around June 15th, "said Sun Weifeng, Director of the Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Wheat has been harvested from south to north in Anhui Province. The province has strengthened regional cooperation, established 122 emergency harvesting service teams, implemented harvesting and drying equipment, and made every effort to ensure the return of summer grain particles to the warehouse. During the "Three Summers" period, Anhui plans to invest about 200000 combine harvester with an expected yield of more than 98.5%, and strive to basically complete the task of harvesting wheat in about 10 days. Once the wheat is ripe, the key is to compete. At the front line of summer grain production, various regions and departments implement detailed work, party members and cadres assist in wheat harvesting, professional service teams cross regional operations, and farmers work together to win the initiative to achieve a bumper summer grain harvest
