According to regulations, Macau doctors, traditional Chinese medicine students, and dentists who have obtained practicing certificates in the cooperation zone have the right to prescribe in the medical institutions in the cooperation zone they practice. Traditional Chinese medicine students in Macau who have been engaged in clinical work for more than five years can apply to establish traditional Chinese medicine clinics in the cooperation zone. The "Regulations on the Management of Pharmaceutical Technical Personnel" specify that Macau pharmacists, Chinese pharmacists, traditional Chinese medicine students, and pharmacy technical assistants who meet the prescribed conditions and have been registered by the drug supervision and management department of the cooperation zone can directly provide pharmaceutical services in the drug retail units of the cooperation zone without the need to participate in corresponding exams in the mainland.
