Captain of the Cambodian Navy: China's Modernization is a Growth of Peace Forces

2023-05-06

China's move towards modernization is the growth of its peaceful forces. Cambodian Navy Captain Biden marked the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army Navy on April 23 of this year. In order to celebrate this grand festival, the Naval Submarine Academy where I studied abroad held a series of activities such as military camp open day, large-scale picture exhibitions, and equipment knowledge popularization. These colorful activities have deeply impressed me with the confidence and growth of the Chinese navy in the new era. My first impression of the Chinese navy comes from a sea parade photo on the electronic screen of the college square. In the photo, the majestic figure of China's first aircraft carrier, the Liaoning warship, swept over the ocean in formation. I also saw this photo while visiting the Chinese Navy Museum. The on-site commentator introduced that in April 2018, the largest sea parade since the establishment of the People's Republic of China was held in the South China Sea, and the naval aircraft carrier formation was reviewed in combat formation for the first time. The various types of warships and aircraft displayed in the photos have attracted many tourists to stop. I believe many people, like me, can fully feel the outstanding achievements made by the modernization construction of the Chinese navy and the clanging pace of the Chinese army towards world-class development. In my opinion, the strength of the Chinese military is an increase in the strength to maintain world peace. Not long ago, the China Cambodia "Golden Dragon 2023" joint exercise was successfully concluded in my country. This exercise is an important platform for exchanges and mutual learning between the Chinese and Cambodian militaries, as well as practical military training, which helps to consolidate steadfast friendship and deepen security cooperation. Five years ago, I also participated in the Sino Cambodian "Golden Dragon" joint exercise. At that time, I served as a tank pilot in the firepower assault course and worked together with Chinese soldiers to combat the "terrorist base". During the exercise, Chinese soldiers demonstrated a high level of professionalism, which left a deep impression on me. The Cambodian Royal Army Academy, which I once attended, was built with assistance from China. Many teachers in this school have experience studying abroad in China. With the continuous deepening of cooperation and exchanges between China and Cambodia, we have gained more understanding of China and truly felt that China is a peace loving country. The more you understand China, the more you will recognize that Chinese path to modernization is a modernization that follows the path of peaceful development. In the classroom of the Naval Submarine Academy, I learned that China is the only country in the world that has incorporated the concept of "adhering to the path of peaceful development" into its constitution, and is the permanent member of the United Nations Security Council that sends the most peacekeeping personnel. In recent years, China's active efforts in promoting the peaceful resolution of international and regional hotspot issues have shown the world China's wisdom and responsibility. Especially with the recent mediation of China, Saudi Arabia and Iran have resumed diplomatic relations, marking a new beginning for the Middle East region to move towards peace and development. On the issue of Afghanistan, China has released the "China's Position on Afghanistan" document, supporting Afghanistan's moderate and stable governance, peaceful reconstruction, putting oneself in the shoes of the Afghan people, and sincerely providing suggestions for Afghanistan's future development. Facts have proven that China's move towards modernization is the growth of peaceful forces and the growth of just forces. Peace is a prerequisite for development, and development is the foundation of peace. In the new era, China has created miracles of rapid economic development and long-term social stability. As the world's largest developing country, China's development itself has global significance. China in
