The offline exhibition of the 133rd Canton Fair ended in Guangzhou on the 5th. Xu Bing, spokesperson for the Canton Fair and deputy director of the China Foreign Trade Center, introduced that the export transaction at this year's Canton Fair was better than expected, with an on-site export transaction of 21.69 billion US dollars; On the normalized operation of online platforms, the online export transaction from April 15th to May 4th was 3.42 billion US dollars. This year's Canton Fair has achieved the goals of "efficiency, safety, digital, and green", making positive contributions to promoting stable scale and structure of foreign trade, promoting all-round opening-up, and building a new development pattern through services. According to reports, over 120000 overseas buyers participated offline and over 390000 overseas buyers participated online at this year's Canton Fair. Participating enterprises have uploaded a total of 3.07 million exhibits, including over 800000 new products, about 130000 intelligent products, about 500000 green and low-carbon products, and over 260000 independent intellectual property products. New products, technologies, and processes are being showcased for the first time, with high-end, intelligent, customized, branded, and green low-carbon products showcasing their popularity among global buyers. This highlights that Chinese manufacturing is constantly moving towards the mid to high end of the global value chain, demonstrating the resilience and vitality of China's foreign trade. At this year's Canton Fair, a total of 508 enterprises from 40 countries and regions participated in the import exhibition. Numerous industry benchmark and internationally renowned brand enterprises concentrated on showcasing high-end intelligent, green, low-carbon, and products suitable for the needs of the Chinese market. Overseas exhibitors stated that the Import Expo of the Canton Fair has built a fast track for them to enter the huge potential Chinese market, and has also helped them meet a large number of global buyers, bringing new opportunities for expanding into a broader market. In order to enhance the effectiveness of trade docking, this year's Canton Fair held a total of 52 "Trade Bridge" global trade promotion series activities, 8 "Haobao, Haoni Exploring Canton Exchange" exhibition activities, 3 provincial and municipal themed special docking activities, and 2 dual cycle trade promotion activities. More than 3000 people from 67 countries and regions, including overseas industrial and commercial institutions, purchasers, and suppliers, participated. This year's Canton Fair also held 19 trade promotion activities and 7 fashion shows, bridging the gap between supply and demand, and promoting the successful signing of multiple projects. Xu Bing stated that after the offline exhibition of this year's Canton Fair is closed, the online platform will continue to be open. Except for the functions of exhibitor connection and appointment negotiation, other functions will operate normally throughout the year. The Canton Fair will also organize a series of trade docking activities in a timely manner to help domestic and foreign merchants carry out economic and trade exchanges without leaving their homes.
