On April 25th, the People's Court of Nansha District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province (Nansha Free Trade Zone Court), Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People's Court, and Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone People's Court jointly signed the "Framework Agreement on Building a Judicial Cooperation Mechanism for Intellectual Property Protection", working together to create an integrated platform for intellectual property judicial protection in the Greater Bay Area, serving to ensure the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area International Science and Technology Innovation Center. According to the agreement, the courts of the three regions shall cooperate in entrusted delivery, evidence preservation, technical investigation, and remote trial of intellectual property cases with cross domain nature between the three regions, achieving the sharing of trial resources; Establish an intellectual property case discussion platform, regularly report on the trial status of relevant cases, jointly discuss judgment standards for key issues such as intellectual property commercial rights protection and punitive damages, improve judgment rules, and promote the unity of judgment standards for intellectual property trials in the three regions; Strengthen the construction and connectivity of non litigation dispute resolution mechanisms in various regions, build a collaborative pattern for resolving disputes, and promote the sharing of resources and mutual recognition of specially invited mediators in Hong Kong and Macao regions. The agreement also proposes that the three courts should play a demonstrative and driving role in the reform and innovation of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, jointly create a cross regional collaborative protection demonstration zone for intellectual property, and promote the construction of a judicial and business environment conducive to talent gathering and technology aggregation.
