According to his observation, "generally speaking, there is still a lot of progress or room for improvement in the graduation thesis of undergraduates." Feng Jiayu believes that the shortcomings of undergraduates in their graduation thesis writing are mainly reflected in their lack of expression ability, "for example, obvious typos, wrong punctuation mark and words do not convey the meaning, sentences do not work well, cohesion is not tight, and other problems are relatively common." However, Feng Jiayu believes that a low plagiarism rate is only the foundation and is not worth emphasizing too much. Some students will use some channels to detect the plagiarism rate in advance. In order to reduce the plagiarism rate, some students rewrite a large amount of repetitive text, and even use technical means to reorganize the text, resulting in problems such as unclear writing and semantic coherence. In addition, the characteristics of different majors can lead to differences in the citation rate of papers. For example, the citation rate of literature and history majors is generally higher than that of science and engineering papers It is not advisable to judge the quality of a paper solely based on its plagiarism rate What is the spot check for undergraduate thesis? The "Sampling Measures" require provincial education administrative departments to formulate sampling and evaluation elements for undergraduate thesis based on the actual work in the local area and subject categories of the "Catalogue of Undergraduate Majors in Ordinary Higher Education Institutions (2020 Edition)". Feng Jiayu stated that both national and provincial level paper sampling and evaluation work needs to be evaluated based on evaluation indicators. The evaluation indicators mainly include various factors such as the value and feasibility of the selected topic, the innovation and standardization of the paper, the scientific and professional nature of the research, the logical and accurate expression, etc. Based on these indicators, students' papers can be evaluated relatively comprehensively and objectively.
