It is worth repeating that mandatory reporting is not a moral choice but a legal obligation. When public officials and organizations and practitioners who have close contact with minors, such as teachers and doctors, discover that minors have been or are suspected of being subjected to illegal violations or are facing illegal violations in their work, it is their legal obligation to immediately report the case to the public security organ or report it to them. Those who do not report and cause serious consequences will be punished. This system, known as mandatory reporting, was officially launched by 9 departments including the Supreme Procuratorate in May 2020 and incorporated into the newly revised Minors Protection Law in the autumn of the same year.
