"The Macao Branch of the Southern Book Fragrance Festival - Guangdong Macao Reading Week" was unveiled in Macao on the 30th, exhibiting nearly 1000 books published by the mainland and Macao, and over 100 cultural and creative products. The event was guided by the Propaganda and Culture Department of the Macao Central Committee Joint Office and the Propaganda Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group, Southern Publishing Media Co., Ltd., Guangdong Xinhua Publishing Group, the Macao Cultural and Educational Publishing Association, and the Cultural Institute. Jiang Mingtao, Chairman of Guangdong Xinhua Publishing Group, delivered a speech and said that the event, through the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Great Bay Area Photo Works Exhibition", showcased Lingnan folk customs such as flower street shopping, dragon boat racing, dragon dance, etc., allowing people to encounter a period of ancient time, listen to the echoes of history, and generate spiritual identity and emotional resonance. The Book Fragrance Festival also held a literature lecture on "Chinese Characters" and donated a series of books entitled "Reading Literacy Improvement Project for Teenagers in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao - New Course Reading", so that excellent traditional Chinese culture can reach the hearts of young people and give them the power to forge ahead. Lin Faqin, President of the Macao Association of Literary, Educational, and Publishing Societies, said that the publishing industry in Guangdong and Macao hopes to work together with the original brand book exhibitions in Macao, including the Macao Book Fair and the Macao Book Fair Carnival, to promote universal reading and create a stronger cultural atmosphere, book atmosphere, and learning atmosphere in Macao through this activity. The book exhibition will be held from March 30 to April 1 at the Community Service Building of the Federation of Neighborhood Societies in Macao.
