According to the data of China Automobile Industry Association, China's production and sales of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will double in 2022. According to the Medium and Long-term Plan for the Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry (2021-2035), the number of fuel cell vehicles in China will reach about 50000 in 2025. Industry insiders expect that under the resonance of domestic and foreign demand, the actual population will be far more than expected. The rapid expansion of production and sales of fuel cell vehicles looks the same as that of ordinary cars, but the interior is very different. Instead of the fuel tank, three hydrogen storage tanks are arranged in parallel at the rear of the vehicle. The relevant pressure, temperature and other information are displayed in real time on the central control screen inside the vehicle. It only takes five minutes to fill up hydrogen at a time. The driving range under CLTC-P conditions is 550 kilometers, and the driving experience is very similar to that of pure electric vehicles. It is reported that the only emission of NEXO during the whole driving process is water, and the waste heat generated by the battery can also be used for air conditioning and heating in the car. It is precisely based on this clean and efficient feature that hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have become an important starting point for many countries around the world to build a "hydrogen society", and also an important solution for the high-quality development of the automobile industry. Many enterprises have accelerated the layout of this track. Taking SAIC MAXUS as an example, after the fuel cell light passenger model FCV80 was first commercialized, it also applied fuel cell technology to the field of passenger cars to create "high-end hydrogen fuel cell MPV" MIFA hydrogen. "The fuel cell is our important technical route." The relevant person in charge of SAIC MAXUS said that in 2022, MIFA hydrogen had achieved the delivery of 200 users, of which 120 were responsible for the online car rental service, becoming the first batch of hydrogen energy MPV to realize commercial operation in the world. From the Olympic Games to the city streets, to factories and mining areas, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are being used in more and more fields. According to the data released by the China Automobile Industry Association, from January to December 2022, China's production and sales of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles were 3626 and 3367 respectively, up 105.4% and 112.8% year on year. "At present, the number of fuel cell vehicles in China has exceeded 10000, and the overall application shows a trend of rapid expansion." Mao Zongqiang, professor of the Institute of Nuclear Energy and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University and vice chairman of the International Hydrogen Energy Association, told the Economic Information Daily. According to the statistical data of the Shanghai Fuel Cell Vehicle Commercialization Promotion Center, freight cars were the absolute main body of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle market last year, accounting for more than 70% of the market share.
